Chilean Education

In this oportunity the topic that i’m going to writte it will be Chilean education.

All of as know about this, but nowadays it is difficult to describe wat it is a good or bad way to educate people.

I looked for some information about this, and I could notice there are some chilean and international web pages, books whit very interesting topics about education and also how a teacher can improve their knowledge, that is it to say, informing obout the process, or the years you have to study, I mean, I think that is not the problem, I think the real problem is in teachers, because, if I am an english teacher o whatever, I have to know all about the language and that knowledge must be transmited in the best way, for instance: to motivate my students, whit exercises, extra information and of course, I should to aupdate myself everyday. However there are a lot of teachers that not always do the best, because if they don update their information, they can not use moderns way to teach, so, I think my role as a teacher could be, that, doing investigations about teaching or about my own students, because it doesn’t matter how long I have been doing classes, if I don’t know the new tendencys, about education, the most probably is that I’m not doing the best thing for teaching for something that I supost to love.

For all this reasons I think be a good teacher is a big responsibility and a little difficult, but not imposible, depends on what I want for this job and how can get it. For instance: find the best way to reach my own objectives as teacher, working hard every day, and also try to give the best of me, because I’m going to be new english teacher and for that reason it will be people that are not going to look at me in a good way, but if I am interested in doing the right thing I’m sure that any handicap that I find, I will know how to pull down.

:: Pepper

Pepper has been called the “King of Spices”. Pepper has been moving westward from India for 4000 years. It has been used in trading as an Exchange medium like Money and has been valued so highly.

Pepper comes from of vinous plant called Peppercorns. There are tour types of pepper. The first one is the Black pepper. This is the dried, unripe berry. The corns are wrinkled and spherical about 5mm in diameter. The second one is White pepper starts about the same as the black one but is allowed to ripen more on the vine. Then is removed its shell by soaking the berries in water until the shell falls of, or are held Ander a flowing spring water, yielding a whiter and clean pepper. There are a Green pepper as well, and this comes from the same fruit but is harvested before they nature. And finally exist a Pink pepper; this one comes from the French island of Reunion. Pink pepper corn has a brittle, papery pink skin enclosing a hard, irregular side, much smaller than the whole fruit.

Pepper is very useful into the food. With hot food it is best to add pepper, towards at the end of the cooking process, to preserve its aroma. On the other hand white pepper is used in white sauces rather than the black pepper. Also green peppercorns can be Meshed whit garlic cinnamon or to make a spiced butter or with cream to make a fresh and attractive sauce for fish. Pink peppercorns are called for in a variety of dishes, from poultry to vegetables and fish

Pepper has been attributed medicinal properties, like: aromatic stimulant, antibacterial, stimulates the taste-buds causing reflex stimulation of gastric secretions, improving digestion and treating gasto intestinal upsets and flatulence. Pepper also calm nausea and raises body and temperature.

Coldplay

Hi! this is my favourite band, COLDPLAY, they are a british band, and also they are pacifist, in a asociation whit Green Peace. My favourite song is “Yellow”. In this song they express the feeling of love, and how we can transform in a reality, taking the yellow color the most important thing.

They met them in 1996, when they were studing at the University College in London. Theirs names are: Chris, Jonny, Guy and Will. In 1998 was published their first single called SAFETY whit 500 copies for your friends and family only. Later in 1999 they published their second single, "Brothers & Sisters", and in the same year the magazine New Musical Express named to coldpley the best ban in that year.

Then in 2000 Coldplay published PARACHUTES his first album disc. This album was successful in Europe and less in the U.S.A. The first Parachutes’single was “Shiver”, and followed by “Yellow”. In 2002 they won a grammy to the best alternative album.

On august 2002 Coldplay again published an album, this time the titule was "A Rush of Blood to the Head". For this reason coldplay recived excellents critics for this album, and we can mencioned some singles like “In my place”, "The Scientist" and "Clocks”. Coldplay won two Grammys awards in 2003 whit "A Rush Of Blood To The Head" and other one in 2004

In 2003 before an extensive tour for more than a year, Coldplay published "Live 2003", a cd and a dvd recording a live in a concert in Sidney, Australia.

On May of 2005, Coldplay published a new album: “X&Y”. This album was inspired, in Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow’s daughter.

The last concert of Coldplay was on February 2007, in Santiago de Chile, in Espacio Riesco.
